Position Summary This employee will be charged with stacking both retail and food service cases and trays or packing lids onto a pallet as well as loading table with product. Employee must be able to stack cases under various stacking patterns determined by size/type of product being run. Employee must also visually inspect packaging integrity and recognize potential issues with labels, lid printing, and package markings. The person filling this position will assist the Labeler Operator or Lid Printer Operator with various tasks. Employee must keep the work area clean and be able to perform moderate to heavy labor. If any problems develop, notify foreman or supervisor.
Essential Functions
Hand palletize (stack) finished goods or printed lids onto pallet following a specific stack pattern
Visually inspect pallet, product label, container, overwrap, lid quality, and packaging integrity
Notify operator and/or supervisor of any production issues and assist in identifying and correcting these problems
Learning the Labeler and/or Lid Printer and backing up that position
Fill out necessary paperwork, if required
Sort and package product and other tasks on moving lines/belts
Hand case product when required
Keep work area clean
Ability to work alone and stay busy when line isnt running
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Certifications Required
Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training
Physical Demands of Job The employee must be able to perform the physical demands listed below to perform this specific job functions:
Frequent standing and walking
Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting
Lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
