Agricultural Equipment Technician – NOC 72401

Our Steinbach location is currently looking for an experienced Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our high performing service team.   In this role, you will perform basic/complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment.

The wage range for this position is $32.31 - $38.00 / hour dependent on qualification and experience; also comes with an employee purchase program, comprehensive health and dental benefits, disability and life insurance benefits and a group RRSP program.  We are also committed to your growth and development and provide ongoing training opportunities, along with John Deere University courses.

Required Skills:

• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of agricultural equipment
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to use computer to support diagnostics
• Excellent problem solving ability

Required Experience:

• Certificate of training in a discipline related to tasks as described in NOC 72401, plus 3 - 5 Years Experience
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in one of the following trades is an asset:
• Agricultural Equipment Technician
• Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Diesel Mechanic
• Completion of John Deere certification or willingness to undertake
• Driver’s license and clear abstract
• Language of work:  English
