POSITION TITLE: Agronomy Summer Students

LOCATION: Rosetown, SK

POSITION SUMMARY:

Rack Petroleum Ltd is full-service supplier of fertilizer, chemical, custom application, agronomy services, research and bulk fuel to producers in west central Saskatchewan. The Rack is a vibrant, rapidly expanding company with new ventures constantly underway.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working in coordination with our Ultimate Yield Agronomy Team and in conjunction with our local retail team, Agronomy Summer Students are responsible to assist in daily operations in a variety of capacities including, but not limited to:

• Customer management
• Retail administrative and operational assistance
• Crop scouting
• Tissue sampling
• Soil sampling
• Adhere to safety protocols and document where possible
• Ability to read work orders
• Overtime and irregular hours expected during in-season
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Good organizational and time management skills
• ATV/Quad operation experience is preferred
• Exceptional communication skills - written and verbal
• Farming background and/or crop scouting experience is an asset
• 1+ year of study towards diploma/bachelor degree, preferably in agriculture is an asset
• Class 5 driver's license and safe driving record
• Can lift and carry 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Must reside in or close to Rosetown SK
