Who we are - Colin Campbell (Chemicals) (www.campbellchemicals.com.au) is a 100% Australian owned company that has serviced the agricultural chemical market for over 85 years. Our continued growth has seen us rise to be one of the market leaders in our specialties of horticulture and post harvest treatments. Our range includes high quality ex-patent products as well as a significant number of products and technologies unique to the Australian market.

We currently specialise in servicing the horticulture market in pre and post harvest situations. We are seen as one of the leading suppliers to the citrus, banana, and other post-harvest markets, providing innovative technologies and worldwide expertise in this sector.

We are hiring because - Our long serving representative in the area is retiring, and we are currently looking to employ an outstanding Area Sales Agronomist to cover the Queensland, Northern Territory and Northern NSW regions. The purpose of this role is to increase our existing sales in those regions and develop new opportunities within the area, whilst providing continued service to our existing dealers and growers in the area.

The candidate - A career salesperson with rural merchandise and agronomy knowledge along with the ability to work independently will be ideal for this role. If you have knowledge in post harvest markets, local growers, and/or carrying out field trials then this will be an advantage.

This autonomous role will encompass travel throughout the region on a regular basis along with:

  • The goal to develop new business within the region while growing the current sales.
  • Develop working relationships with distributors and growers to promote our products and generate market demand.
  • Conduct education programs, attend growers' meetings and local field days.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key industry people and organisations.
  • Provide technical backup of our products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Identify and explore new sales and growth opportunities.

For the right candidate remuneration for this role will include a base salary plus commission (or salary only) and superannuation. A company car, a smart phone and tablet will be provided to enable you to work while travelling.

Please note that any candidate must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights for Australia. We also expect the candidate to have Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Current Australian driver's licence essential for extensive regional travel.
