Boiler/Refrigeration Maintenance Technician 

Easton, ME

This role works Monday to Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm with the occasional weekends and holidays for plant emergencies. 

  

What you’ll be doing. 

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems for industrial processes. 

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and freezers. 

  • Work on boiler systems as needed. 

  • Respond to plant emergencies and support operations during weekends and holidays. 

  • Read and interpret CAD drawings and piping/instrumentation diagrams (PPIDs). 

  • Use and learn touch screen computer systems and the Infinity Database software. 

  

What you’ll need to be successful. 

  • High school diploma or GED. 

  • High Pressure Boiler Operator license. 

  • EPA certification for refrigerant use. 

  • At least six months of relevant experience working with large boilers. 

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members. 

  

Preference will be given to candidates with the following (not required): 

  • Completion of the McCain Operator Training Program (provided after hire) 

  • McCain Forklift Certification 

  • RETA Industrial Refrigeration Certification 

  • 4th Class Boiler Certification (after two years of on-the-job training as a refrigeration mechanic)

Compensation Package-  Starting at34.33 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts  

  

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
