Our client, a multi-location full-service crop production retailer, is seeking a Branch Manager for their Boissevain, MB location. This is a fully updated location with new fertilizer plant, office, and seed treater.

 

The role involves leading and developing a high-performing retail team through recruiting, training, and effective scheduling. A key focus is delivering excellent customer service, helping customers with product selection, and resolving any issues. The position oversees retail operations to ensure a positive experience for both staff and customers, manages inventory to balance product availability with minimized carry-over, and upholds product knowledge, particularly in seed, chemical, fertilizer, and custom application. Additionally, it ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards and fosters strong relationships with suppliers and chemical company representatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Staff management: Lead, coach, and develop the retail team to ensure high performance, including recruiting, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, assist customers with product selection and resolve any customer issues or complaints.
  • Retail operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail to ensure positive experiences for customers and staff.
  • Inventory management: Manage product inventory levels, ordering, to ensure availability of products while minimizing year-to-year carry over.
  • Product knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of products we have to offer, including seed, chemical, fertilizer, and custom application.
  • Regulation and safety compliance: With the help of other staff make sure the retail continues to be compliant with regulation and safety obligations.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers: Build and maintain good working relationships with all suppliers and representatives of chemical companies.

  • Knowledge of agriculture products
  • Customer focus mindset with a commitment to delivery excellent service
  • Experience as an agronomist or retail manager is an asset
