DIRECTOR OF SALES - CANADA - AGRICULTURE

Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been retained to recruit a Director of Sales - Farm Equipment to lead the organization's strategic direction, operations, administration, and sales efforts across Canada. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF SALES

As Director of Sales, you'll hold national accountability for achieving the sales budget while leading a team of 10-12 professionals. You will drive growth and profitability targets, collaborate closely with Finance and Operations, and align Canadian strategy with international objectives.

 

This position requires a leader who can develop and execute dealer strategies—someone as comfortable in the field with "hands in the dirt" as they are in the boardroom. You'll strengthen dealer networks, ensure alignment between sales and service, and represent the company at key national and international events.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a home office and field-based position.

 

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Deep roots in farming or ag machinery—experience with cultivation, ground-opening tools, and seeding equipment strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in agricultural equipment
  • Proven record in dealer development and channel management
  • Strong academic and professional credentials, with the ability to analyze strategically and communicate factually
  • Comfortable presenting in formal business settings, while fostering genuine relationships across cultures and teams
  • Approachable, respectful, and engaging without being overly casual or boisterous
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% (90% domestic, 10% international)
