- Good agronomic background, experience with crop production
- Electrical experience preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a progressive Texas crop producer in the search for a Farm Foreman to join their operation. The ideal candidate will bring strong crop production skills, mechanical ability, and a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities across the farm.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of crop production, including planting, fertilizing, cultivation, and harvest.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Support center pivot irrigation management, including operation, upkeep, and preventative maintenance (potential training available for candidates without prior pivot experience).
- Work with the owner to help determine irrigation schedules and crop watering cycles.
- Perform general farm and property maintenance, including buildings, equipment, and facilities.
- Lead by example and promote a positive, productive work environment.

Qualifications:
- Solid background in crop production with knowledge of row crops and agronomy.
- Mechanical skills with the ability to repair and maintain farm equipment.
- Previous experience with irrigation systems a plus, but willing to train the right individual.
- Electrical experience preferred, but not required.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate others.

Additional Information:
- Irrigation season typically runs about 90 days
- Off-season duties will include equipment servicing, preventative maintenance, and general property upkeep.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong crop production experience who is also open to expanding their skills in irrigation management while working closely with ownership in the success of a respected Texas farming operation.
