Feed Mill Operator

Earlybird Nutrition, a progressive agribusiness located in central Illinois with locations in Goodfield and Chapin.  We specialize in blending complete feeds and minerals to meet the specific nutritional needs of our livestock producers operations. Our experienced sales staff work with livestock producers to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.  Along with these services we also provide delivery for all products thru our fleet of bulk and bag trucks as well as utilizing common carriers to deliver bagged product outside of our delivery areas in Illinois as well as across state lines. We are searching for a highly motivated candidate to assist in our milling operations at our Goodfield and Chapin locations. This position will assist the Feed Mill Manager in all stages of feed production, warehousing of products and ingredients, and general operations.

Essential functions include the following:

• operate feed mill equipment safely and efficiently
• accurately collect batch ingredients
• load and unload bulk and bag freight
• basic maintenance and housekeeping duties
• customer service skills
• effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, sales staff, and customers.

Job Requirements include:

• basic computer and math skills
• attention to detail
• excellent team player
• ability to withstand seasonal weather conditions
• ability to multi-task
• 2 year degree in Agriculture/Manufacturing OR verifiable industry experience.
