Reports to the Live Haul Supervisor/Manager-Live Haul Drivers are responsible for the humane handling and transportation of live poultry from producer farm sites to the processing plant as well as the completion of related documents.
Driver will use electronic log Pre/post inspection for truck & trailer Scale (empty weight) proceed to the farm Driver will use all necessary PPE Unbind cage hooks for the crew to load birds Secure load by binding with cage hooks Fuel each trip. Scale loaded Holding shed. Dolly down/unhook.
Qualifications include: Must have valid Class A CDL Good safety record The ability to do frequent heavy lifting with a mechanical aptitude Must be able to bind cages with an excess of 150 pounds of torque weight on a frequent basis Must be able to complete a DOT physical and drug & alcohol screen Must have 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience
