Please watch the video on our homepage before continuing: The American Society of Agricultual Appraisers.

The American Society of Agricultural Appraisers (ASAA) is an organization of appraisal professionals specializing in appraising livestock and farm equipment. ASAA's mission is to provide educational and organizational support to ASAA members, and to serve the public by producing qualified and ethical appraisers who are recognized authorities in the livestock or equipment appraisal fields.

ASAA is looking for those who would be interested in becoming a livestock or equipment appraiser. Livestock and equipment appraisers focus on valuations as they are needed for bank appraisals, attorney/litigation appraisals, accountant appraisals, tax purposes, insurance appraisals, and government entity appraisals (IRS, USDA, etc). As a livestock or equipment appraiser, you have the stability and flexibility that comes with owning your own business (you can be part-time, full-time, etc). You will NOT work for the American Society of Agricultural Appraisers, we are simply the organization you join to become a qualified ag appraiser.

ITo qualify, candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in the agriculture or livestock industry. This requirement is intended for individuals with substantial, hands-on industry experience—not for hobby or small-scale livestock owners.

Note: ASAA also has a sister organization, the American Society of Equine Appraisers (ASEA). If your experience is primarily in the equine industry, we encourage you to visit our webiste to learn more about becoming a certified equine appraiser.
