Ruminant Nutritionist

Location : Southwestern Ontario

Our client, a livestock nutrition manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and driven Ruminant Nutritionist to build feeding programs to support Dairy and Beef production. The Ruminant Nutritionist will have one direct report to manage and will be located in Southwestern Ontario.

The Ruminant Nutritionist will be responsible for compliance, regulatory requirements and quality.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain economic competitiveness of ruminant feed formulations
• Support and maintain ration balancing software for beef and dairy
• Develop and deliver skills workshops for sales and marketing staff
• Provide producer education sessions and marketing materials
• Program development of ruminant feed formulations

DESIRED PROFILE:

• MSc in Animal Science and Ruminant/ Dairy Nutrition
• 5 years of direct experience in Nutrition and Feed formulation
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of feed formulation
• Strong research and analytical skills with a desire to learn
• Bilingual (not required but an asset)
