About the role

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Adelaide team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (Maternity Leave Cover).

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality recruitment outcomes across our national business. You will partner with a diverse portfolio of hiring managers and manage the full recruitment lifecycle-from job briefing through to onboarding. This position is ideal for someone who can step in confidently, contribute immediately, and support the ongoing development of our recruitment strategy over the 12 months.

Reporting to the Head of People Operations and Governance and working within the People & Safety team, you'll provide expert guidance on sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and compliance. You will also support broader talent acquisition initiatives aimed at improving our systems, processes, and overall candidate experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand workforce needs and deliver effective sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Employee Due Diligence (EDD) requirements, including reference checks, VEVO/right-to-work, and background screening.
  • Utilise job boards, internal talent pools, and creative sourcing methods to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Provide recruitment best-practice advice and support interviews aligned with Elders' competency framework.
  • Maintain and enhance recruitment tools and resources, including interview guides and process documentation.
  • Contribute to broader recruitment initiatives, including employer branding, sourcing strategy development, and technology improvements.
  • Support a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

About you
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment, ideally within both in-house and agency environments.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategy, with the confidence to hit the ground running and contribute to building out our approach during the 12-month contract.
  • Workday experience is highly desirable -we can be flexible, but familiarity with the system will be a significant advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
  • High level of computer literacy and confidence using HR systems and digital tools.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field are desirable.
