Golden Peanut in Dawson Ga is seeking a Truck Driver/Operator
Rotating shift days and nights- including weekends and holidays
$14.50 an hour with $1.50 more an hour when on nights
Under limited supervision, Truck Operators will be expected to: manage, load, and transport trailer inventory throughout the site. maintain proper bin levels, manage production throughput and quality standards, sanitation upkeep, managing and adjusting process equipment as needed, and to complete any necessary tasks. Operators must also have additional knowledge of the plant flow in order to make swift changes for production rate maximization.
Essential Job Functions:
Conducts job task with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record
Maintains a good attendance record
Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays
Maintains good communication with all plant personnel
Maintain production rates
Ability to understand and perform assigned job task easily and independently while flexible to work in a team setting
Maintain good housekeeping and completes sanitation paperwork and duties as required.
Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted
Continuously monitors and cleans equipment for optimal performance and quality
Operate machines and vehicles within guidelines and safety requirements
Move product with various equipment including forklift, truck, etc.
Review production records and labeling for accuracy
Move/lift objects up to 55 lbs
Will sit, stand, crouch, lift, transport, twist, squat, bend, use shovels, brooms and other tools, and climb stairs and ladders with other physical requirements including repetitive hand use throughout every shift.
Other duties as assigned
Experience needed:
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
1-2 years of experience in a related role or with transferrable skills
Positive attitude and desire to contribute to the team
Track record of quality work and excellent attendance
A valid driver's license is required for this role
Willingness to learn the position and other positions in the plant
Will participate in all safety training, process training, etc.
