An agriculture marketing associate is responsible for the marketing of products and services to consumers and clients through the development of campaigns, and coordination throughout the different business functions. Job responsibilities of an agriculture marketing associate include management of marketing campaigns for the commodities being sold, the promotion of local produce, improving marketing functions surrounding the campaign, conducting research to determine new markets and how well products are satisfying current markets, seeking customers for produce in new areas, maintaining relationships with current customers, meeting with farmers, consumers, agribusiness leaders, and media members, monitoring and improving quality-control programs, and the promotion of nutrition and education programs if in line with the commodity being sold.
An associate's or bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field is required to be an agriculture marketing associate.
